And, you will laugh, and might possibly shed a few tears.
The Voyage & The Vessel: Red Thread
Presenter: Pam Maddox
Pamela Maddox and her husband, Glenn, 'sold the farm' (their home in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado , cars and pretty much all of their stuff), bought a sailboat and set sail with their two little girls, Linzi, 4 and MeiLing, 2. Their destination was China, where Pam and Glenn adopted Linzi a few years earlier and MeiLing the previous year. Their voyage of nearly 40,000 miles over 4.5 years is filled with innumerable experiences, some amazing, some terrifying and many inspiring. After arriving in China, they secured their boat and went in-land where the family volunteered for 3 months at a local orphanage for infants and toddlers with special needs. Pam's telling of the Maddox Family story – one of vision, courage, strength and love – is sure to bring you to tears, and make you feel hopeful that taking your being/vessel to ports and places unknown might be scary but well worth the voyage.

Suitable for participants with prior fitness training (moderate-intermediate)
Warrior Flow and Focus
Practitioner: Meg deClerck
We have all seen the yogis in the twisted, strong, intimidating poses (asanas) and wondered: "How can I do that?!" This class will give you the opportunity to try the stronger, longer poses without that dreaded intimidation factor and become aware of how it feels to reach your edge. After a Sun Salutation warm-up, the class will have levels that you can select from, Meg likes to call them stages. The 1st stage includes how to approach the pose and the asana will be accessible to all. The 2nd stage you can try or continue to hold the 1st stage. The 3rd will require additional strength and focus, igniting internal heat, which the yogis refer to as Tapas. What Meg loves about this class is that you will have the chance to try all of the levels without worrying about which one you can hold, attempt or fall out of. What we come to realize when finding our edge, is that we are all left with the same task, to be in the present moment and breathe, letting go of the stuff that binds or restricts us from realizing our true potentials in life. All levels are welcome.
